1982 13’ Burro Camper, similar to a Scamp, Casita and Boler for sale

1982 13’ Burro, similar to a Scamp, Casita and Boler for sale.

Designed as a funky home away from home, we’ve enjoyed every minute camping in this 13” trailer with our family of four. The sofa converts to bunk beds that sleep two children comfortably. The top bunk has a safety rail and the bottom bunk functions as a crib with custom-made net window. The table converts to a double bed with a custom 6” foam mattress that sleeps two adults comfortably. The kitchen area has been outfitted with custom backsplash to hold Scandinavian space saving components, giving you room for all your home conveniences. In addition there’s a two burner stove, toaster oven and two-way refrigerator. Shelves above the sleeping areas and a wardrobe closet with shelf hold your clothes, music and anything else you need. Leopard flooring, mini-blinds and designer accents make this feel more like an Airstream than fiberglass trailer. Travel any time of year with gas heater with thermostat and roof vent- fan. Dry weight is 1000 lbs. so it can be pulled by just about anything including small SUV’s and sedans. You won’t even know you’re pulling anything. Other features include a 12 gal freshwater tank with dual hand/electric pump, 110V AC connection, fire extinguisher, and Optima Blue-top Marine deep-cycle battery ($175 new last July). User manuals for camper and add on equipment included! Outside has a nearly full propane tank on hitch with fill gage, Rock guard for front window that opens to a small window awning. Rear stabilizer jacks and front jack stands so you’ll be level on any surface. Add your own 10x10 or 12x12 tent and outdoor rug to make a patio area and additional living space. The hitch has a 2” ball and 7 prong round electoral connection for your tow vehicle. Exterior has some minor cosmetic blemishes consistent with a camper of this age but none that cause any problems with the enjoyment of this one-of-a-kind camper. YOU WILL LOVE IT! Don’t have a family of four----this trailer also comes with a conversion kit, designed for traveling couples. Switch the sofa into a built in table for two. Comes with swivel table and two cushions custom-made to fit built-in seats. Here's the Burro in action:

Snowed in? Highway closed? No problem with the Burro. Park at Wal-Mart or Home Depot and you'll be snug and warm in 5 minuets!

Beautiful camping is everywhere for you with the Burro:

Electrical and water hook-ups are a breeze at any campground. Notice the rock-guard awning for the front window:

Your kids will have a blast too:

Tent and rug are NOT included but are inexpensive and expand your living space:

The Dinning table easily seats our family of four with storage compartments under the cushions:

The table folds down to make a double bed for 2 adults. A custom cut 6' thick foam mattress makes the bed very comfortable. Notice the custom drapes and mini-blinds:

The front of the camper has the sofa/bunk beds. Here you see the sofa. There is amble storage under the sofa as well for a port-a-potty or children's potty chair as well as storage compartments:

The sofa converts easily into kid friendly bunk beds. We added a toddler bed safely rail for the top bunk for our 5 year old and custom made a crib with see through mesh window on the bottom for our 2 year old. The kids love it and they are as safe as can be. No worries at all about them falling out of bed at night:

You say you don't have kids and don't need bunk beds. Well, no problem. This Camper is perfect for a couple or a single camper. Take the sofa cushions out and put in the included 2 person dining table with custom matching cushions. This way you can leave the double bed set-up as a bed full time and eat or relax with a book or game at the front table. Brilliant!

Internal outlet lets you plug in the toaster oven, your music player, a fan or any other convenience item:

A brand new Optima Blue-top Marine Deep cycle battery ($175 new last July) easily keeps the lights on for the longest camping trip. The battery is charged when the camper is connected to your tow vehicle:

Internal storage is compact yet very well designed. Notice the funky leopard floor tile, rug and cool door knobs:
Wardrobe closet for hanging clothes and a shelf:

Roof vent with battery driven 3 speed fan keeps you cool in the summer:

Thermostat for the propane heater:
Use the propane heater to keep you toasty at night:

2-Way fridge (Battery or propane) for your cold items. The propane is difficult to stay lit and needs some work. Battery works just fine:

Sink has a dual hand/electric pump attached to city water or the internal 12 gallon water tank:

2 burner propane stove with custom backsplash organizer (utensils not included). We only used the stove to boil water and make coffee. We used an outside stove too cook our meals to keep the smells out of the camper:

We installed this under the counter toaster oven with heat guard hood. (We have the original light that was removed to make room for this if you want to re-install). One must have biscuits or cinnamon roils with your coffee in the morning!:

We made a custom cover over the sink using a cutting board for added counter space:

User manuals for toaster oven, heater, The Burro itself are included:

Propane tank is on the front hitch and is nearly full as you can see an the gage:

Front hitch has jack stands as well as a wheeled stand that lets you move the camper around on a flat surface by hand:

I know you will love this camper as much as we did. Contact us through Craigslist with any questions!
